Atlanta artist Ellen White travels to the mountains to paint en Plein Air.

Ellen teaches a two day workshop monthly hosted by Crabtree Creek Gallery. Plein Air literally means "painting out of doors." This technique offers its own set of challenges, which we address in the two day workshop. Going from set up to clean up. By using the fundamentals of composition, color and value, students get a sense of what it takes to paint en plein air. The next scheduled plein air workshop is November 21st and 22nd. Cost is $150.To make your reservations contact Peggy Horne at 828-675-0612

After receiving a degree in commercial design, Ellen has had a long and successful career as an Art Director in print and television. Currently she paints full time in Atlanta, Georgia.
