Plein Air Workshop to be hosted by Crabtree Creek Gallery and taught by Atlanta artist Ellen White on August 23 and 24. Plein air literally means "painting out of doors." This technique offers its own set of challenges, which we will address in this two-day workshop. We will go from set up to clean up. After receiving a degree in commercial design, Ellen has had a long and successful career as an Art Director in print and television. Currently she paints full time in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, Quinlan Visual Arts Center, and Landscape Artists International.
